Trailheads
Most teams find me at one of these moments
What founders say: “We know there’s something here. We just don’t know who it’s for yet.”
Jason: Then that’s where we start. I’ll talk to the people you think it’s for, find out what they’re actually trying to get done, and come back with the problem worth solving first.
What’s in it
- UX research
- Digital strategy
- Service design
What founders say: “We know what we want. We don’t have anyone to build it.”
Jason: I’ll design it and build it: the app, the site, the integrations and the setup underneath. You get the real thing, not a mockup.
What’s in it
- Product design
- Web and app development
- Websites and tech setup

What founders say: “Our engineers are shipping, but nobody’s shaping what they ship.”
Jason: I’ll work inside your team: design ahead of the sprint, sit with the engineers, and steer what ships toward what you meant.
What’s in it
- Product design
- Rapid prototyping
- Microcopy
- Accessibility
What founders say: “Everyone has an opinion on the product. No one owns it.”
Jason: I’ll own it with you, as your fractional product lead. We set the phases together, and each one ends with something shipped and a clear call on what’s next.
What’s in it
- Product leadership
- Roadmaps
- Prioritization
What founders say: “It’s live. Honestly, I can’t tell if it’s working.”
Jason: We’ll set a baseline, watch what people actually do, and decide the next phase from evidence, not taste.
In the open
West Virginia needs love and attention from the generation coming into its own. Rural businesses deserve the same craft as anywhere else, at a price that works here. So a lot of what I know is free, and a lot of my time goes back into the state.

First light
Pixel Ridge helps founders get from an idea to a product people use
In Fairmont, West Virginia, near the Monongahela River, the sun rises every morning. Before it does, the land stretches out in dark shapes. As the sun crests the ridge, it bathes the landscape in light. The hills and hollows come alive, and the river cuts through the valley.
Products aren’t much different. Research is the light that helps bring life to what we’re building. It helps us understand who we’re building for, and which problems are worth solving.
We’re not interested in trends. We’re interested in what the data says. We stay beside you and your team until it ships, and the data tells us both whether it worked.
